As I write this, I am sitting on the floor of my new apartment in Boston. That's right - back for year two! After an amazing summer working at a camp for special needs children, songwriting and soaking up the sun I'm ready to jump head first into my third semester at Berklee College of Music. I just wanted to update the masses on a couple new and exciting things! First of all I would like to address your attention to the fact that my hometown, Salt Spring Island, hosted its very first music festival on August 8-9th 2015! I was extremely happy to be asked to play on the main stage with my newly formed band. The entire festival was incredible - the venue was full of food and garlic vendors, smiling faces and amazing musicians sharing their craft. I have no doubt that this festival will continue to take place every year and lift the spirits of all those who attend and perform. My new school year's resolution is this - to record a new album. That's right folks, after tooooooo long I am buckling down and releasing some tunes! The details have not yet been figured out and the process has yet to begin, but be prepared! How could I possibly study songwriting without sharing my creations with you?
